So how is that Facebook marketing strategy going? Ready to kick it up a notch? Because you can make the most of your blog’s Facebook page with today’s tips!

Making the Most of Your Blog’s Facebook Page

1. Start your clique with Facebook Groups.

As with LinkedIn, Facebook groups share ideas, brainstorm, and bring minds together to work on the same topics. When a business—like your blog—starts a group, it immediately alerts people to a business’s interests. Supporters know that, even though you’re the expert, you want to learn more and you’re open to hearing their ideas. Plus, when users start joining your group, they’re actually informing the rest of their network, too—free marketing!

Groups can really build brand loyalty and keep you at the forefront of peoples’ minds. Don’t forget to join groups that are active and likely to have people who’d be interested in you.

2. The promoted post is power.

Promoted posts appear on fans’ feeds and the newsfeed of all their friends.

Since these are special posts that reach more viewers, you have to make sure you pick strong posts for promotion. Don’t just choose any regular post—create a powerful and moving one that seeks to entertain and entice customers. Choose posts that are entertaining, relevant, informative, and act as calls-to-action.

You can maximize the efficiency of a Promoted Post by:

  • Sharing posts with really good visuals. Make the most of videos and graphics.
  • Offering something new.
  • Talking about exclusive events and invitational parties.
  • Asking questions!

3. Okay, you can have some ads.

So complaints led Facebook to axe sponsored stories—ads that imply they’re based on a friend’s suggestion—but ads in general remain. The money you get depends on clicks, impressions, or actions; as with any other advertising business, there’s a wide range of types and prices.

Make your ads stand out from the crowd. You want something that’ll catch peoples’ attention amidst the sea of Facebook ads they encounter every day. Use visuals that are easy on the eyes and make sure to have great copy. You want to be noticed, so make sure your ads do just that.

4Understand EdgeRank.

One thing to prioritize with Facebook is getting your posts to interested people in a timely manner. That’s where EdgeRank comes in.

EdgeRank is a special algorithm that studies users’ patterns and offers posts on their newsfeeds that it think they’ll like. The simple formula is like this: If a user often checks your page, likes your posts, and shares your posts, then the EdgeRank algorithm will show the user your posts via newsfeed. Otherwise, you’ll be pushed aside by companies that the user interacts with more.

As far as Facebook is concerned, a particular company is “popular” if:

  1. Users engage with your brand frequently.
  2. Users talk about your brand.

So what does that make your job? To be “popular”… be engaging! Boost your interaction with all those blogger skills you’ve been building up with us at Blogger Babes. 😉
